Hello Spring!!
I hear you loud and clear, you have been missed!!
I woke up this morning to birds chirping and sounds of nature, finally! The winters in Maine seem to drag, this year we had our last snowfall mid April. To say everyone is happy it is over is a major understatement!
I think nearly everyone I know toys with the idea of moving to a warmer climate at some point during the winter. There are a few who have a plan to move in the next couple of years, and we have discussed options at length over the last few years. For now, we have decided Maine is our home. Don't get me wrong the winters are rough but when we weigh out the good and bad of all the places we have considered against Maine.....our home state wins out even with winter.
I enjoy the changing seasons and all that comes with each season. This time of year brings the excitement of getting back outside and enjoying all that Maine has to offer and working on that winter hibernation weight! I have made a re-committed effort to taking Mia out on more walks/runs. She is as out of shape as the rest of us, as she very much enjoys her princess lounge time. I have restarted Couch to 5K to help us both. My bestie started a FB group and it is helping to keep me motivated and accountable which I need!

Those who train together, stay together!
The other thing I am doing is meeting with a trainer twice a week. My guy has struggled with some health and weight issues for some time now. Over the last several months he has worked hard to get stuff taken care of and to start really working on getting healthy. We have started working with a trainer a couple of times a week, who really pushes us both in different ways to make sure each of us is working on what we need. I have wanted to work with a trainer for a long time but the budget just didn't allow for it so I am thankful that we are in a place where we can afford to do what we need to take better care of ourselves and each other.
Spring is short here but it is a time for rebirth if you will and a renewed sense of what makes this place special to us.
What is spring like where you are from?
We even have our windows open! it's really here!
