To My Younger Self

 

Raising a teen gives you a window back to your own teen years, and makes you realize what you wish you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt.

 

Today's advice to my younger self:

Your worth does not hinge on another's words. Your worth is not based on looks. Your worth is not bound by what you do or what you say.

You deserve kindness. You deserve love and joy. You deserve to feel special just as you are. You deserve care and safety.

You are strong. You are kind. You are smart. You are capable of more than you realize. You will reach and surpass your goals. You will be faced with difficulties, but you will overcome and continue to grow.

You are loved, cherished, and celebrated beyond your comprehension.
