The Block

I am definitely in a place where figuring out what I want to write about is a challenge.

I am hoping if I write down all that is going on it will help me. Today's blog is all about why life is a bit overwhelming.

The end of the school year in and of itself as a teacher is overwhelming. There are so many things required to be covered in any given year. When we are coming into the home stretch and realize how little time is left to get it all in...it can be crazy making time. On top it all,  there is end of year testing, field trips, 8th grade graduation, field day, etc. Not to mention.....the kids are READY for summer so it often feels like corralling cats all day. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my job and my students. I can't imagine doing anything else but it is a stressful time of year.

I am studying for an exam, passing it is incredibly important for my job. This is definitely adding to my feelings of being overwhelmed.

In addition to work stuff, I feel like I am not doing the best job at juggling the other roles I play in my life. Partner, mom, daughter, friend, coach. I try to make time for everyone but I am struggling to do all that and still have time for myself to get the things I need done! We did get a bunch of yard work done this weekend and will get the rest done next weekend. I am hoping I can get some flowers planted too. It feels like I am at least two weeks behind on all of that. We did have a late winter so I am cutting myself some slack. I got a hike in yesterday with my bestie, always a good time with lots of laughs!



Losing our Maggie has been far more difficult than I imagined. I am glad she is no longer suffering but I miss her so much.

Vacation time!

We are also coming into the homestretch of trip planning which is exciting but also adds a bit of stress, making sure we have everything we need before we leave.

I know come June 20th, I will be very ready to get on that plane and forget the real world but until then I need to keep busting through to get it all done!
