Tuesday Teaching!
It is okay to say NO. I write that as I sit here, barely able to keep my eyes open.
I have many work and life commitments and struggle daily with the ability to say no as often as I should. If you read The Block you got a little taste of what is going on in my life.
My work commitments are in the driver's seat right now and have essentially taken over my life. This is to be expected at the end of the school year but for some reason I keep adding more on. My goal for next year is to make sure I am saying yes to a manageable amount of things. That way I can ensure I am doing everything well!
In my personal life I also need to do a better job at only saying yes to the things that are essential and bring me joy, otherwise I get resentful and I am not my best self.
It is difficult for me to say no, because I don't want to let anyone down. I need to remember sometimes saying no is what is best for me and when I am taking good care of myself I can be better for others.
Do you struggle with saying no?
Yesss!!🙌🙌I agree with your post sooo much!! "NO" sometimes can be such an anointed word !!!
ReplyDeleteI use to always say yes-yes to more responsibility, yes to working on things for other people, yes yes yes yes yes. Now I say no a lot. It is a hard thing to learn because deep down you are afraid of how the person is going to think about you. But your health and sanity are way more important. :)
ReplyDeleteYes it can be! Thank you for reading!
