Tuesday Teaching

Family time is the best time! This applies to friends who are like family too! :)

I am truly blessed with a good life, but every now and then I get a little down....most recently what has gotten me down is feelings of being less connected with people I care about. I think some of my feelings has to do with a scare with my grandmother and visiting with some of my extended family who I haven't seen in years and miss terribly. It was so nice to see them and it got me thinking....why has it been so long??

We all live very busy lives, but that is not a good excuse to not make time for each other! If we don't stay connected to the people we care about....what is the point of anything?

There is nothing to it but to do it!!

Last weekend after some encouragement from my guy, I made plans for some forced family fun and invited everyone in my immediate family to meet up for breakfast and pumpkin picking. Everyone was excited and invested in getting together. There were the usual shenanigans that is unique to every family ;). We all left happy with a smile on our face, new memories, and wanting to make plans for another family activity soon!

I have been making an effort to be more connected with my bestie too, both of our lives are busy so we stay connected a lot through texting and snapchat. Lately I think we have both been making a better effort of making plans and sticking to them. Every time we get together I walk away thinking I can't wait to hang out again, our time together fills me with joy!

Stay connected with the people who matter, tell them you love them, let them know how important they are to you by making time for them!

Bonus....having plans to look forward to makes the week fly by!! :)

  8. I feel you for feeling blue every now and then I get a little down, I guess no matter how blessed we are it's normal to feel blue once in a while. But what matters most is that you have your family and you are blessed. Take care!

  11. For me, this is the biggest reason why I want to be successful. Because I believe that real success is being able to do whatever I want with my time, and what I want to do is to spend all my time with the people I love. Hang in there! :) You can do it!

  12. I totally agree that some activities are incomplete without your family. You'll have to find ways to connect.
