Tuesday Teaching!

It has been a couple of weeks, the life of a teacher is a balancing act and I can admit....I haven't done the best job balancing work vs. life.

Like I have said before I LOVE my job and can't imagine doing anything other than teaching but it does sort of take over everything unless I am good about making sure I take care of myself and set limits about what I can and cannot do with the time I have.

One of the things I miss most when I am teaching is having the time for one of my passions and that is photography. I decided l I wanted to take the time to do my girl's pictures after school one day this week, we made a plan and even though I was tired...we made it happen!

I take her yearly photos myself because school pictures are typically terrible and I have no desire to spend the money knowing I won't like them. So ever since she was a toddler we have gone out to different locations to take her photos and we give them away for one of our gifts to family and friends for the holidays.

I had so much fun with her and her boyfriend, we stayed local and took advantage of the weather and fall colors!

The other thing I miss about photography is photo editing! I had been hanging on to my old laptop because it had Lightroom on it but the whole thing stopped working a couple of months ago so I had to bite the bullet and go the monthly subscription route. After our photo session I couldn't wait to get home to play! I downloaded some nice presets and had a great time messing around with the different settings.
