Tuesday Teaching!

This week's Tuesday Teaching is a message to all the parents and most importantly students as they head into a new school year, from a teacher.

In today's educational climate, there is a lot of talk about teachers and parents not being on the same team. The ones who suffer are the children. I don't know any good teacher who is not in it for the love of children. We all want them to succeed and we are doing our best to make sure they are successful.

My job, the thing I get paid to do is teach. With that said, your life is important to me just as much as what we are learning in class. You are important, you matter, and your success takes priority over everything else.

We will have good days, we will have mediocre days, and there will be bad days too. I don't expect perfection.  There IS an expectation that you come to school ready to work and to put the effort in to learn. I will teach you and help you as much as I can but you will need to meet me halfway in your willingness to learn.

We are in this together and my main goal will always be to do my best to help you succeed.
